We gave Eden the option of birthday party at home with friends or birthday with family at Chuck E. Cheeses (CEC). She chose the latter.
It has been a long time since I have been to a CEC. Most of the same components remain: mediocre pizza, clunky animatronicks, skeet ball and other ways to acquire tickets to exchange for cheap little plastic toys, arcade games, and a person dressed up in a mouse suit. The changes that I noticed tonight: a salad bar, each group gets a unique invisible ink stamp which they check when people leave to make sure kids go home with the correct adults, better lighting, a machine that counts your tickets and then gives you a reciept which you give to the teenager running the prize counter, a blue screen that allows kids to "be on TV."
We had a good time. The girls were soooo excited on the drive to CEC, the had a blast with everything there, and they so tired out for the drive home that they were half as chatty as they usually are. Tonight brought back a lot of fun memories for me, and I think it created a few for Eden and Emmy as well.

Something
Our blog has been naked for far too long.
It snowed yesterday, so we might end up with a white Christmas if it stays cold enough.
